Oven in a range that is not heating

Hello there! I’m Appliance Ace, and I’m here to diagnose and fix your oven in a range that is not heating properly. Let’s get started!

The first diagnostic step I took was to check the power source. I made sure that the range was plugged in and that the circuit breaker was not tripped. Everything seemed to be in order.

The second diagnostic step I took was to check the oven’s heating element. I turned on the oven and waited for it to heat up, but I didn’t feel any heat. I then checked the heating element with a multimeter, and found that it had no continuity, indicating that it was faulty.

The third diagnostic step I took was to check the oven’s temperature sensor. I used the multimeter to test the sensor’s resistance, and it was not within the expected range. I knew that a faulty sensor could cause the oven to not heat properly.

The fourth diagnostic step I took was to check the oven’s control board. I inspected it for any signs of damage or burns, but it appeared to be in good condition. I then checked the voltage going to the control board to make sure it was receiving power, and it was.

With these diagnostic steps completed, I knew what needed to be done to fix the oven. I replaced the faulty heating element and the temperature sensor. I then ran a test to make sure the oven was heating properly and that the temperature was accurate.

Once I was satisfied that everything was in working order, I cleaned up my tools and let the owner know that the oven was fixed. They were very happy and satisfied with my work.

And that’s how I, Appliance Ace, diagnosed and fixed an oven in a range that was not heating properly.
